Are you searching for a deeper sense of emotional healing and personal growth? If you're feeling weighed down by suppressed emotions and disconnected from your authentic self, you're not alone.
You’re ready to break free from the trauma that has shaped your identity and are eager to reconnect with the person you were meant to be. It’s time to confront the wounds from the past that lead to overthinking, negativity, and fear. You may even be experiencing physical symptoms of trauma and anxiety that impact your overall well-being.
Hello, I’m Corinne. I’m here to partner with you as you navigate your healing journey, manage your feelings, and create a more fulfilling, empowered life. Together, we will undertake the transformative work necessary to make the positive changes you've been hoping for. Drawing from my background in somatic practices and occupational therapy, I offer tools and insights that integrate mind and body, helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and fostering meaningful growth.
Who is your ideal client:
I enjoy working with people experiencing physical, emotional, and life management issues who find it difficult to pinpoint their “why”. My ideal client is curious to learn more about themselves and inspired to delve deep to find their root causes. I am inspired by those who are willing to examine antagonistic relationships that have contributed to their trauma. I am particularly interested in working with adults and older adolescents who have a history of trauma, those with relationship challenges, and those experiencing physical manifestations of anxiety and depression.
What is something you wish people knew about therapy or the therapy process?
I wish more people understood how crucial self-compassion and grace are during therapy. Therapy is not a quick fix; it’s a journey that involves confronting difficult and deeply ingrained patterns. Many of us were not taught or exposed to self-compassion growing up, so learning to be kind to oneself can be a significant shift. It is essential to recognize that the dysfunctional patterns we learned early on can be challenged and changed. Yet, this takes time and patience. Giving yourself permission to be imperfect and acknowledging that progress might be gradual can make the process feel more manageable and less daunting.
Why do you like being a therapist?
I am passionate about empowering people to take control of their own lives to achieve a deeper sense of well-being. Utilizing a holistic approach integrating the mind, body, and spirit is an incredibly transformative experience for those who have long struggled with suppressing their emotions. I find it an honor to be the person to guide someone through that process of self-discovery. Being a therapist means being a catalyst for positive change, helping people connect with their authentic selves, and fostering growth in meaningful ways. As a therapist, I am privileged to assist people in learning to understand and manage their emotions, regain their power, and lead a more fulfilling life.
Besides being a therapist, what do you enjoy in your spare time?
I love spending time with my family, traveling, exploring new places, and learning new things when I have time! I enjoy biking, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
